Jenny and Dave are two Speyside runners who share a passion for the outdoors… and running. We love exploring – whether it’s new ways up hills, taking interesting looking single tracks through the woods or linking together runs to create expeditions. Our shared knowledge of the hills and trails of Speyside lead to a desire to spread our secrets, and show other people the sights, sounds, tastes and smells of our stomping grounds.
Dave is a life-long runner with a varied background, from cross-country, road and mountain running, orienteering to parkrun. Some milestones along the way include being part of a Munros relay (completed in 12 days with a team of 7), representing Scotland at World and European Mountain Trophy events, and more recently M50 North District champion at cross-country and 10 mile road race!
Jenny does all the talking (she says), is an avid explorer of new routes for runs, which she writes up and contributes as articles for Active Outdoors and Country Walking. Recent exploits include the Dramathon and Great Wilderness Challenge (1st Lady).
We both hold Outdoor Emergency First Aid (with additional training appropriate to the Mountain and Outdoor Environment) certificates. Jenny has also completed the Fell/Trail Leadership in Running Fitness run leaders course provided through the Fell Runners Association.
So that’s us – RunSpeyside – We’d love you to join us for a Run!
