We are so happy to be able to welcome people back onto our runs and to make sure we all stay safe in these new times we ask you be aware and understand some extra points about your activity with RunSpeyside.
All our activities are done in line with current Scottish Government guidance, which will update over time. This may mean the guidelines at the time of booking are different when you join us. Please ensure you read and understand the current guidelines.
If you have any symptoms of COVID-19, however mild, or are in a household where someone has symptoms, or have been in contact with someone with symptoms please do not leave your house to take part in the activity. NHS help on the most recent guide to symptoms can be found here.
We need you to contact us if you become ill within 14 days of your activity with RunSpeyside.
We need to maintain social distancing as required by current Scottish Government guidelines, but be aware that there is a lower transmission risk outdoors.
We will ask for electronic payments where possible.
You will need to take more ownership of personal medical problems, and ensure you have all medicines etc with you. Due to lack of strimming/mowing on some paths there are some sections that are more overgrown than we have seen in previous years and there is a greater risk of nettle stings and ticks amongst other environmental risks. Please check yourself for ticks post run, be aware of the symptoms of Lyme’s Disease and, if you are prone to allergies/reactions, please take personal precautions against this.
Please bring personal PPE with you – face covering and hand sanitiser as a minimum but also hand wipes and anything you feel you need to ensure your own peace of mind. RunSpeyside guides will also be carrying face covering and hand sanitiser on every run.
Understand that emergency services, including mountain rescue, may take longer to respond.
Please bring your own food, drink and sun cream as necessary.
Toilets may not be available at or close to the start of the run, so make sure you are prepared for this.
